It's no secret that the Elder Scrolls series is probably one of the most famous RPG series of all time. I remember that I came into the series a little later than most, with Morrowind being my first foray into the world of Elder Scrolls, and I was very impressed by the strong story and side quests, as well as the great gameplay and RPG elements. Bethesda then released Oblivion and continued to amaze me with their attention to detail as well as the hours upon hours of content that was all strung around one epic main story. So as any good fan would do, I made sure to pre-order Skyrim, with which... |
When I saw the first trailer for this movie awhile back, I remember thinking that it looked very cool. However as more trailers and footage was released, shifting from the once epic action sequences of the original teaser to the more story-driven sappiness I, like a lot of other people kind of had my doubts on whether or not the movie would be worth seeing. But I stood by my decision and shelled out the money to see it, and I have to say I was happy I did.
The movie Real Steel is set in the not too distant future where the sport of boxing has evolved into gigantic... |
Have you ever thought about what you would do if you were a god? Would you use your powers to help the people and do what you could to make their lives easier, or would you put your needs first and do whatever you wanted. If you have answered yes to the follwing question then your in luck, black and white might just be the game for you. In the game you take on the role of a god, be it a good god or an evil god, the people will worship you either way. Just to add more iceing onto the cake you also get your vary own creature. |
For those of you out there that enjoy playing games such as Fable or Grand Theft Auto, You'll definitely enjoy this. I know it's hard to imagine what a middle ground between the two games would be like, but Saints Row seems to capture that idea elegantly. Best part is it's a story without a character. This means that anyone can fill the blank.
Saints Row 2 begins waking up from what appears to be in a coma...though confusing at first, this is actually a great way to tell the player the story before they actually start running off and ignoring the rest of it. |
...I think everyone here has heard, seen, or followed Naruto. I've got to say that when I first heard about it I didn't think it was anything to special. Funny thing is that after watching the first few episodes, I think I ended up watching every episode of the original series straight. For those who don't know what Naruto is, here's the run down:
Naruto is the story of a boy (Naruto Uzumaki) who grows up in a time of Ninjitsu on his own with no friends and no one to rely on. Despite of this he soon finds friendship in everyone he meets. He does all the usual things such as fall in... |
I'd like to start off by first saying that I never really gave this show a second glance. I can honestly say that I dind't give it a chance at all. Then I got a roomate, who I'd never thought was into it. After a few months of living with him, I just remember working on homework in the living room, and having to glance up every now and again since it seemed so interesting. It got to the point where I eventually had to ask what he was watching, but before I could ask, I ended up asking..wait it this Doctor Who?! . |
Following the craze of Guitar Hero and Rock Band Neversoft and Redoctane released DJ hero which put you in the shoes of a DJ and played a mix of two songs. The Music in the game ranges from rap to pop and you can play some Daft Punk. Much like Gutiar Hero and Rock Band with their instrument controllers DJ Hero gives you a turntable controller with the blue, red and green buttons on a spinable record which you use to scratch and rewind. |
If you enjoy headshoting hordes of mindless zombie-like things then I think you’ll enjoy Resident Evil 5. Starting out, this games is pretty difficult. Ammo is hard to find and if you playing by yourself, the AI is really, really, really, stupid. For this reason, it’s pretty much a two player game, in my opinion. Item management is made harder than... |
Whether you like Dragon Ball Z or not, you are sure to like Team Four Star's Dragon Ball Z Abridged. They follow the story of DBZ, but shortened it and added humor. A lot of the voices... |
Have you ever wanted to conquer China? Or how about serving as an officer to a lord and helping them achieve their dream? Well Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires lets you do just that. The game is an action strategy game where you plan out what you’re going to do during your turn. Then, when you go into combat, it turns into an action game where you get a set amount of time to complete your objective. The best part about this game for me, is the ability to create your own character. You get to choose your characters voice, what kind of magic they use, their special ability and the weapon... |
Strangely enough, I first stumbled upon The Guild through a post on a Corsetry community on livejournal.com. The post contained a link to the music video Do You Want to Date my Avatar? Well, after watching... |
If memory serves, I had first watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-along blog because it was a movie Heather had wanted to watch...or re-watch, I can't remember. After watching it, I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog is a musical about a want-to-be Super Villain called Dr. Horrible (played by Neil Patrick Harris) who's fallen in love with a girl from the local laundromat (played by Felicia Day), who... |
This week, during the JCR podcast, we decided that rather than a single review...it would be a better idea to compare two very similar games. I'm sure many people out there have invested many hours into one or the other, if not both. They are both certainly great games, yet people waste numerous hours debating over which is superior. It was our intention to see if there were any truth to these claims, or at least attempt to find what it comes down to. This week's Podcast review was on two video game series giants- considered by many to be legendary...Rock Band, vs Guitar Hero... |
Some Free Online GamesMMOs (Massive Multiplayer Online) are really starting to take over with games starting from Everquest, to the very popular World Of Warcraft. The only problem with these games is that they almost all cost money to buy and you find yourself having to pay hefty subscription fees, but don’t let that discourage you. There are a lot of free - that’s right, free - MMOs out there. Now I’m not talking about the ones on Facebook or other social sites. I’m talking about actual online games you can play with other people across the world, absolutely free. | |
